There are multiple reasons why your washing machine may cause the electrics in your property to trip out.

The problem can be the result of a fault with the motor, the suppressor, the heating element, a wiring issue or a water leak in the machine that shorts an electrical part. So it can be difficult to say exactly what is causing the problem without the help of a qualified repair engineer.

One thing to try is reset the RCD (residual current device in the fuse board) and replace the fuse in the plug. If the problem persists after you have tried this, then you need a repair engineer to inspect and repair your appliance.
